Remarks

First of all apply for jee mains then you will be selected for next exam that is jee advanced. From this exam nearby 12000-13000 students are selected for IIT. Application form can be filled on jasaa official site. Reservation benefits are there based on caste and gender. Also special reservation is available for PWD candidates

Course Curriculum Overview

IIT engineers are paid highest in this country so that is why I chosen this course. Computer science is highest paid branch nowadays so that can be another reason to choose this course. Teaching staff is too good and you will be getting all resources available in institute itself. Exam patterns are semester wise. Also intra semester exams and quizzes are there for revision and practice

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 225000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internships in summer. Interview are taken in first four months of 5th semester. Roles are offered based on your area of interest. Projects are given according to field in which you have knowledge and want to work on. Software development, data analytics Web development are main topics for project.

Placement Experience

In 7th semester you are eligible for campus placements. You can submit your resume in placement cell for primary verification. Then you can apply for job. Many companies visit in campus including Microsoft Amazon etc. Highest package is about 1 crore by a foreign company. Average package lies between 20 to 30 lacks per year. Almost 95 percentage students are placed every year through campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

You need to pay about 100k per fees per semester for general category students. If your family income is less then you will get discount in fess. If your family income is less than 1 lacks then tution fees is not asked to you. Also many scholarships are available for students based on their academic performance in college.

Campus Life

Technical fests are organised in institute and also you can take part in inter IIT fests through your institution. Social and technical both clubs are there in institute. You can join them based on your area of interest. Sports grounds are there in campus for cricket, volleyball, basket, football etc.

Hostel Facilities

All facilities are provided in hostel including electricity fan lights and wifi connectivity. Mess is also present in every hostel. Quality of food is good and standard quality of ingredients are used. Registration of hostel and mess is done on institute website. You need to pay fees in online portals. Rented rooms and PG are also available nearby college campus.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

IIT Mandi- my home and karmbhoomi

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. IIT MANDI KE ANSUNE KISSE

The admission process at IITs are generally common through a cmon entrance exam all over India named jee mains for nits and then after qualifying in that we need to score good in jee advanced. There are reservations for sc, st, obc and economically backward classes. Like you can get good branches with lower marks. For example in computer science you can get 6000 rank for obc but around 2000 for general candidates....Read More
