Remarks

If anyone would talk about the best engineering college in India IIT Mandi would also be one of them. The college provides very good professional opportunities and the research opportunity are also very much as the faculty member of IIT Mandi is involved in more than 270+ Research and Developments Projects that are worth more than 120 crores it shows the capabilities of the college faculty this was the main reason I choose the college. Admission into the college was through the JOSAA counselling and I cleared my JEE and appeared for JOSAA counselling to get the seat into IIT Mandi.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the college is divided into 8 semesters and properly teaches us about every concept in detail we also have to submit many assignments during our tenure. The curriculum is a mixture of practical and theory so that we can properly understand every concept properly. The faculty of the college are highly qualified and very responsible. The faculty knows what they are teaching if possible they design the teaching method according to our convenience and they clearly know how to clear every concept. The faculty of the college is involved in many research activities also.

Internships Opportunities

To take part in the college placement drive we have to complete a minimum of 9 weeks of the internship program and the internship program of the college is very well designed. The internship is paid and the average internship stipend is around 55k.

Placement Experience

The placement offer of IIT Mandi is very good. The college opens the door of lots of professional opportunities that one can avail. The college management properly works and coordinates with the college replacement committee for the betterment of the college placement standards as the highest salary offer of the college is around 34 LPA and the average salary offer is approx 14 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, Codenation, DE Shaw, Adobe, Sales Force etc. are the major recuireters of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

IIT college provides scholarships as per the guidelines of the MHRD so most of the college scholarship schemes of all IITs are similar and the IIT Mandi scholarship scheme is also similar to other IITs Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Scholarship for SC/ST, HTRA Scholarship for MTech/MS Scholars are some of the examples of the college scholarship program you can know about the eligibility from the college website.

Campus Life

The college campus life is full of opportunities the college provides very good opportunities for research work as we get an opportunity to work as the professor's assistant which helps us grab lots of new things. The college classroom is very airy and well designed. The college campus has WiFi connectivity. The library is very good and we are able to find all the books related to our domain and many business books are also available in the college library.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good. The hostel, rooms are designed very well and they do not feel dark. The hostel rooms feel brighter and airy and the rooms are fully furnished and equipped with all kinds of facilities like beds, almirahs and study tables. The LAN cable connectivity is also available. The hostel mess food quality is also good and proper hygiene is maintained. The hostel security is very good and the staff is very cooperative and helpful.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

IIT Mandi- my home and karmbhoomi

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. IIT MANDI KE ANSUNE KISSE

The admission process at IITs are generally common through a cmon entrance exam all over India named jee mains for nits and then after qualifying in that we need to score good in jee advanced. There are reservations for sc, st, obc and economically backward classes. Like you can get good branches with lower marks. For example in computer science you can get 6000 rank for obc but around 2000 for general candidates....Read More
