Firstly, You've to sit for either JEE mains or Wbjee. Then according to your marks, you'll be allotted a stream. To get Computer science in BIT you don't have to get too high marks. Cut off for CSE in BIT is generally low. All over I should say that the admission process is very smooth and fine under any college affiliated with makaut.

In the computer science field, you have various opportunities to grow your career. That's the lone reason why I had chosen this stream. If you want a good study environment then you should opt for BIT because you'll get highly qualified faculties here. But all of them are very friendly and down to earth. They will guide you until you get your desired placement. In our college, we have 4 internals and one external exam. Questions which are asked in exams are neither too easy nor too hard. So the questions can be tackled easily if you study sincerely throughout the semesters.

The internship is a good opportunity to garnish your career to fit into the IT industry. Many companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Larsen and Tubro e.t.c come to this college to employ interns. You will be able to adopt an IT professional personality and will be able to learn good communication skills to fit into the industry and excel in your career. Like I am now an intern of BDN group. The companies which come here for internships offer internships in the genres of cyber security, Data science, Data warehousing e.t.c. They will give you various projects and while completing them you will learn how to do teamwork. And those skills are mandatory to grow your career in the IT sector.

In Bengal institute of technology you will be able to sit for placement from the third year of your college.They offer internship opportunities from the third year and from the sixth semester you become eligible to sit for full time placement.Although you can will get placement assistance after getting placed as an intern. If you don't want to get into the IT sector then you can sit for CAT to pursue MBA. If you want higher studies then you can prepare for the gate. If you want to get into government services then you can sit for WBCS, UPSC e.t.c. That is all about your career options.

You should opt for Swami Vivekananda means cum scholarship under the West Bengal government if you are from West Bengal. Although the course fees are not too high like other colleges of Bangalore, Kochi e.t.c you can also apply for study loans. You will get a chance to sit for placement in various companies and they will offer a handsome package if you are able to crack the exams. Also, you will get an internship opportunity from the third year of your course. I am currently an intern in an SEO company named BDN groups. Although the campus in BIT is not so large you will get friendly seniors and a healthy environment to study.Male female ratio in CSE is quite good. So You will get a gender balanced classroom. Fresher's party is organized every year to entertain the new birds coming into this college. Yearly tech fests like a different types of coding competitions are organized in this college. Annual sports events are also organized.BITPL(Bengal institute of technology premier league) is one of the most famous tournaments held in this college. The college library is huge and you can avail all types of books including your course books as well as books of any other genre. A smart classroom with air-conditioned room is available in this college. Different types of clubs like robotics club, Hackathon club, electronics club e.t.c are available in this college. So you can expect a quality campus life in BIT.
