Remarks

To be eligible to get admission in Engineering courses at Vellore Institute of Technology, you need to apply and appear in the VITEE exam. The entrance exams happen every year around the month of MAY-JUNE, You can find application forms on the official website of the college. Reservation are also there for OBC/SC/ST students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Electronics Engineering because I always had an interest in the same. I really love machines and always wanted to innovate new ideas. The faculty to student ratio in the college is around 60:1. because of huge nos of students in college. The teachers in the institute are highly qualified and most of them are researchers working in their respective fields. The exams both year and SEM end are pretty difficult and you will have to study hard.

The placement record of the college has always been better than almost every private college for engineering. Last year even Google and Apple INDIA visited our campus and recruited some brilliant students at a very good CTC. the average package never goes below 8LPA and the highest remains above 40+. My plan is to do a master's in business administration after getting a degree as I want to open a startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees Structure directly depends on the rank achieved in the Entrance exam which is VITEE. if you bag a Good rank in VITEE, then you will have to pay less as your name will be above in merit. if we talk about average fees it lies around 100k per semester. But yes, if are able to maintain a good score in your exams, you will be offered various scholarships to deduct your fees.

Campus Life

All the branches of the college conduct various fests and programmes for Students It usually happens around November every year. We also have a very big and helpful library containing almost every book that you will ever need. In addition to that, we also have a huge ground on the campus for the sports like Soccer, cricket etc.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
