Indian Institute of information technology una Himachal Pradesh (iiit una) takes complete admission through jee mains rank. You can get admission through josaa and csab counselling. Csab basically is the special round conducted after josaa counselling gets over. Students with very large ranks can get admission through csab rounds, two special rounds are conducted. Cutoff for general students is approximately 60,000 And for obc,sc,st it can vary more with Very lower rank .

Faculti members here are very skill oriented as they themselves are the phdians from either iits,nits or iiits. I have chosen electronics and communication engineering because my main moto was to go for government jobs. But in this college you will be getting a good environment in programming also. Exams are not that tough but you need to study properly to maintain good cgpa.

Stipend varies from companies to companies. It was around 50,000 and many students managed to get it . Those who could not ,joined with the college professors. Stipend depends on students skills what he has Learned in those years.

From the 6th semester onwards students can take part in internships and placements. There were 82 major companies visited here Major inclusion of companies was reliance jio,l&t etc. The highest package in the year 2021 went around 27 lacs and the lowest was around 6 lacs, the average ranges around 9 lacs. Though placement percentage here is 99 percent as some students go for higher studies. My plan after getting the degree is to look for a startup.

Fees generally increase over years in iiit una as it is basically based on the ppp model. No scholarship is provided from the college side but students can get all help from the college itself for applying in all the scholarships provided by central and state governments respectively. Basically, there is the 6th semester completely reserved for doing internships so students have an opportunity in doing internships. Also, those students who don't want to go outside can also do an internship while staying in the college itself with college professors who themselves are from iiits, nits or iiits. The stipend can vary from company to company. It can nearly be somewhat around 50,000

There are several clubs in this college to enhance students' skills. A recent event that took place was techtatva in which students participated in several events including quizzes, stocks, riddles etc. This gave a big boost and was the successful event conducted. Also, muns (model united nations) occur regularly now which also helps in personality development. The sports ground is being developed currently as it's a new campus so it needs sometimes to develop itself.

In hostel room 3 people stay in a single room. There are only three branches in this college i.e. cse,it,ece So in a single room 1 person each from respected branch will have to stay together but you can change it with others once you enter in the hostel. Facilities are superb,there is no common washroom as in other colleges there is common washroom but here it is a separate one . Meal quality is superb here as people hired in cooking are the trained and the experienced ones. Menu varies daily as new food is served daily in breakfast,lunch and dinner. Also committee is formed here for the decision of menu in which different students from different states form the committee and decide the menu.
