Entrance Preview

CEE exam, Rank 1497. Selected for Environmental engineering in 2006. Selected this college because of awsome crowd, one of the best faculties, best talented minds of india and top 10 colleges in terms of placements. Admission process was pretty smooth at my time. Joint Counselling for DCE and NSIT was held in NSIT. I was getting CS in Surajmal, IP college but I preferred DCE because of the mentioned reasons.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum in environmental engineering is not much upto the industry standards, but give can equip you with all the basics of environmental engineering, which is required to become a professional in this field. In terms of research, people from here go into universities like MIT for MS in core environmental engineering.

Internships Opportunities

College provide internship during my time, but dont know about the current situation. Experience will be good because new machines are available for practical purpose and one cannot complain about the lack of infrastructure facilities.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are good. Last 4th yr will be dedicated to placements. Tech giants like Google, Microsoft, EPIC, amazon, adobe, Hike, Samsung do visit. Non tech like ZS, Dunhumby, Evalueserve, The Smart Cube also visit. Google gives more than 1 crore package, Microsoft gives more than 14lpa.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my time during 2006-2010, the fee amount was 25k per year and you have to deposit the fees via DD/payorder in the admin when new session begin of each year. Now it has become DTU, the fees might have gone up because it has come out Delhi University and become sort of autonomus. Last year , I visited college and saw some of the major changes in the infrastructre of college and lab facitlites and things like AC classrooms have become a reality now.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available for class toppers throughout the semesters. I am not aware of loan facility.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is good. In branches like mechanical , girls are quite less in number and in my branch environmental engineering, girls contributed to half of the batch strength. Politics is not there at all. I never found issues based on gender, ethnicity, any race/religion. People are more oriented towards their development and fun.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini network is quite strong. Senior students are helpful when you need help in terms of placements, job referrals and internships. They also help in guiding cracking semester exams, provide information over CAT, GRE, GMAT, IES and UPSC.

Exam Structure

We have semester system. In each sem, we have mid sems and end sems. We do have practical exams. Labs are frequent, but they donot amount to a hectic schedule. Mostly after 4 oclock, people get free from lectures and practicals. One can go to the lab even after the lab classes to peform their experiments. Overall, acadamics studies in college time are pretty chilled out.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
