Entrance Preview
There was no entrance examination in our college. I was directly admitted on the basis of marks acquired in 12th class board examination.
Internships Opportunities
The 1 year of internship is a good training period to learn all the aspects of modalities individually and we have day as well as night shifts. We are capable of managing both normal and trauma patients, and able to provide basic life support in cases of emergency. The college provide a stipend of Rs.1500 per month during this period.
Placement Experience
All undergraduate students have an opportunity of job in Kasturba Medical hospital, Manipal and postgraduates in School of Allied health sciences as assistant professor on the basis of ranking and interview. 12 of them were placed as staff in the hospital and 7 as assistant professors. Also we have more job opportunities abroad as radiographic technologists.
College Events
We have many cultural events in college as well as in university including PULSE, PARRLON, UTSAV etc. also we have sports activities like football matches and cricket matches like six a-side.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is expensive compared to other universities and colleges. The overall course fee is 3 lakhs for 3 years and has separate payment for hostel, mess food.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college doesn't provide scholarship or loan facilities except for Konkani. Government of Sikkim provide scholarship for the students that is accepted by our college.
Alumni/Alumna
we have good relationship with seniors and alumni.They help in every step of life even in finding better jobs. we have yearly get together so that we have chance to meet all of them.They are so friendly and cool. there is no ragging in our college.
Exam Structure
The college has 3 sessional examinations and a final university examination at the end of each year which include both theory and practical. Also we have monthly test on each subject to verify the study methods. The exams, lab hours was fine as it was not hectic. and the daily postings gave us more opportunity to learn from seniors.
Faculty
Department of medical imaging technology has a HOD and 7 faculties. The faculties are friendly and easily approachable in need. They are well educated and Phd scholars. They will be with us during our clinical posting.
