It's time to shine with Goenka college of Commerce.

The admission procedure of our college is very simple. Anyone can take admission in this college just meeting few criterias. Like to have a 70% marks in commerce in class 12th level and secure a decent score in the UGAT exam. The application form is given directly through the college office and if you want in more convenient way then you can fill up form online also by visiting the official college website. The form fees is INR.500 The dates of the admission gets mentioned in the college banners which are given in the roads and you can directly check that in the website also during the admission month. As of now there's no need for any change in admission process. It's just perfect for the beginner students.

I had chosen this course in order to do masters in commerce(M.com). So I had to take B.com in order to go for M.com. The teachers provides best learning experience to us in the entire Kolkata if we talk about the commerce colleges. Best of the best faculty members are there, with has knowledge over any topic in commerce. Every teachers are masters in this line and they try to implement every bit of knowledge on us. Every professor has a unique method of teaching but overall their motive is to simplify any method and make us understand, so we perform well in exams and accordingly we do well in exams. There are frequent class tests, mock tests and 2semester exams per year. The level of difficulty is moderate,but that becomes easy if you just go through the classnotes provided by the teacher becuase most of the portion comes from notes itself. Passing the exams is very easy, no problem in that!

The fees structure is very good. It's cost friendly and easily any middle-low class family student can afford. As you know, in this line the cost of study is minimal so there's no problem in that. And with the scholarship facility it's just got better. There was a slight hike in the pricing but its back to normal now. The scholarships are being provided to the needy students those who apply for it. The family's yearly income must be under 1lakh pa for getting max benefit of the scholarship. Job placement cell has improved a lot over the years. Many companies are joining us to hire students. But this part needs more improvement according to me.

Inside the college campus it's a very calm and peaceful environment which is very helpful for the students to concentrate on their studies. This remains maintained every time because the college campus is completely ragging-free zone as it's under anti-ragging committee. This feature of our college makes a very big impact on students and their good scoring in exams. Every year the annual cultural fest happens in the year end during the month of November/December, it varies every year though. The library part of our college is huge. It comprises of more that ten thousand books ranging over journals, magazines, books on commercial subjects, current affair, sports etc. The students can stay as much time as they want reading books. Apart from studies the college also focuses in sports and extra curricular activities. Frequent cricket and football tournaments get organized by the college after which participants gets prizes. Different social groups are being run by our college students.
