A life, worth experiencing

The admission process was done according to the JEE main rank which was conducted by JOSAA. You have to get a decent rank to get accepted. The application form can be found on JoSAA website and you can apply from there. All total there are 7 rounds of counseling. There is a 50% reservation category for the students of Odisha. the counseling for the reserved 50% of Odisha category was done by the college itself. You can get the form for the Odisha category on the official website of IIIT Bhubaneswar. The admission process is quite easy and conducted without any hassle.

I had applied for other colleges too but according to my score I got Electronics and Telecommunication Branch in IIIT Bhubaneswar but I am more interested in CSE or a related stream. The faculty-student ratio was quite low. And as all of you know there are some good and bad faculty in every college so the scene was also the same here. Mostly you have to study on your own. Give more focus for better CGPA, theoretical know-how, and had a face value. Term exams were conducted on time as per the academic calendar. It is not too difficult for every paper some are easy some are difficult. So give you full attendance in class on what sir is teaching.

Every year mostly Dell offer more internship in the college. along with that many also applied for internships of their own and also got internships in many reputed companies. Many also got PPO while doing their internship. Outcomes will be shown in campus placement.

For the campus placements, students from 7th semester onwards are eligible. Infosys, Mindtree, Dell, Wipro, TCS, and many more companies came to college every year. This year the higest package was 86 lakh Per annum. The placement percent is about 99% having an average pakage of about 6 lpa.

The course fee is approx 78k per sem excluding the hostel. The hostel fees vary according to the rooms and seater which ranges from 9k to 25k per sem. But for the mess, you have to pay weekly as per what you eat. The fees will hike about 10% every year. For TFW students only the course fee is removed.

Annual fest named "ADVITA" is conducted every year and it showcase the talent and skills of many students. Many books are available in the library. You can issue the book to read and after completion of your work you have to return it to the library. Sports and many other activities are also conducted every year for every branch. The college have also its own annual sports fest conducted every year. There are many clubs and societies such as Programming society, Cultural Society, Photography society and many more. These clubs also organized many events for the students.

There are 3 types of rooms: 3 seaters, 2 seaters,s, and 1 Seater. For 1st year students, only 3 seaters are alloted on a lottery basis. The hostel registation process was quite simple. The mess menu was good but the quality of the food was very bad.
