You have to be eligible for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination after the 10+2 Examination then through counselling, you will get this college through your cut off. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and son of army officer also available
Course Curriculum Overview
I select this course because of the high placement opportunity. All faculty are good in behaviour also in academic knowledge. There is no difficulty to pass the examination as our college is autonomous. The semester happens every 6 months.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Amazon, Juspay, Wipro, TCS, CTS, Media.net, Google STEP Internship etc provide internship opportunities to students with a good amount of stipend usually not revealed but around 20000 to 30000 per month. We have good projects in open source events like JWOC, Hacktoberfest and SIH.
Placement Experience
from the 6th semester onwards students are eligible for on-campus internships and full-time offers. Companies visited the college for placement like TCS, CTS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, RAKUTEN, CLOUDKAPTAN, NETMEDS, WILLS TOWER WATSON etc. Students got selected in off-campus companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Juspay, Media.net, Disney+Hotstar, BhartPe, Sony etc. Highest package of the college got from the CSE dept. 44LPA in Microsoft and the average package in college is 5LPA. 80% of students from non-core branches got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay Rs.9836 at the time of admission for the civil, electrical & mechanical department and the total cost for them is Rs. 37473 for 4years. You have to pay Rs.11836 at the time of admission for the Computer Science Department& 16000 approx for the IT department and their total cost is 62000 approx for CSE and 110000 for it for 4 years. Students get scholarship like SVMCM, NSP, OASIS, BuddyforStudy, ONGC etc.
Campus Life
We have a big tech fest in our college named Shristi. We have an induction Programme for freshers. JECLAT is the biggest annual function in north Bengal. In our library, we have every type of book. We have sports like Cricket, football, volleyball and many more. We have a Jyoti group for poor students to help them in their studies. There are many other clubs like Divide & Conquer(DNC) coding club, Sports club, Magic club, Space Club(SAAC), Pandulipi(Arts Club), EDC(dance and Music club) etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 hostels for boys and 1 for girls. We have breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon and dinner at night. Every Student have to fill up the registration form then Hostel Dean selects from their home distance. Hostel food quality is awesome.
