Asansol Engineering College is one of the best Colleges in West Bengal. I took admission to this prestigious college in 2021. Currently, I am in the 2nd semester of Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.tech). The students who want to take admission to this college must know the following:- (i) Eligibility of the course- You must give the Entrance examination like JEE mains or WBJEE and get a suitable rank. I took admission with the help of my WBJEE rank which must be from 10000-20000, ranking above that can also take admission directly or according to the further rounds of counselling. (ii) Where to find the application form, application fees and application dates- You can find the application form online or directly from college. They don't take any application fees. The application dates are updated on the college's official website. (iii) Reservation benefits- These benefits are given in our college as many seats are reserved for the SC ST and OBC categories.

I am in the 2nd semester of Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.tech) of Asansol Engineering College. The students interested in taking this course must know the following:- (i) the reason I took this course- the reason was very simple. As compared to other branches, there are more interdisciplinary specializations in higher studies for ECE students like Embedded Systems, VLSI, Wireless Communication, Signal Processing. Therefore, ECE students have a wider choice. The advantage comes in Job and placement too. (ii) A brief about faculty: student ratio:- Our faculty members are very approachable and helps us whenever needed. Our department has a total of 126 students or more. (iii) How timely were term exams and how difficult was they to pass- We have a total of 4 CA exams and 2 practical exams with one end semester main exam by MAKAUT.

Many internship opportunities are given in our college every year or every semester. Many companies like Microsoft, moody IIT Bombay, etc. offers internships that help us to know and understand many things.

Many companies like TCS, IBM, HCL, Wipro, Amazon, Capgemini, Oracle, Infosys, HCC and a lot many others come to our college campus for placements. Students in the 7th and 8th semesters fulfil the eligibility criterias for Placements. The average packet is of 5-7 lpa. The maximum is of 15-20 lpa.

Asansol Engineering College has all engineering courses. I am in the Electronics and Communication Engineering department and its total course fees are around 4.2 lacs. Students who are financially weak may take student loans or the loan given by Mamata Banerjee only to students like the Student credit card. Scholarship are given by the government of India and West Bengal and all of them are provided in our college and students fulfilling the criterias are given those scholarships. Some of the names of such scholarship are the Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship, Pragati scholarship and lot more.

Our college is one of the finest colleges in west Bengal with a good and friendly atmosphere. We have different buildings for each and every course. Our library contains an enormous number of valuable books which help us to widen our horizons. We get all the books we need for college exams as well as books needed for government jobs etc. We have many clubs such as the hardware club, Painting club, Dancing club, Photography club and a lot more. Our college also provides many extracurricular activities sources such as cricket, badminton, basketball, football and a lot more.

Hostel facilities are quite normal. The food is good but if we compare it with the food we used to get at home then the gap may be of a considerable amount. But to be honest the food provided in the hostel is eatable and hygienic. The rooms are of a decent size as well. The hostel provides 1 room for 2 people with furniture like 2 beds, 2 study tables, 1 cupboard, 1 tube light and a fan. No electrical appliances like an electric kettle are not allowed in the hostel. Drinking water, tap water and hot water are always available.
