Remarks
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is a part of Delhi University so the admissions are conducted by the University and not the college ambiguously. The admission is based on the 12th percentage of the student, after the application submitting procedure is over, Delhi university releases cut off lists for the courses and colleges. Multiple cut offs are released until all the seats are filled. All the information regarding admissions can be found on the official website of Delhi University. There are seats reserved for ST, SC, PWD, OBC students as well as CW(defence) category students. The admission procedure is going to change from the coming year due to ambiguities in the current system, from 2022 an entrance exam is going to be conducted by NTA, details of which can also be found on the university website.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are conducted semester wise and multiple tests are conducted in the class by the professors in a semester. The exams have a common paper for all the colleges coming under Delhi University. Exams make up for most of our CGPA and the tests conducted individually by the professors also go towards the internal assessment marks. I would call them moderately tough, it is not really hard to pass but not that easy either.
Internships Opportunities
The placement cell of the college constantly works to provide students with internship and job opportunities, students are regularly informed about jobs and internships available for them, landing interviews is easy but converting could be somewhat tough.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a part of Delhi University which is a government University, fees are really low compared to private institutions, fees remain the same for all the semesters in a course. There has not been a fees hike in recent years and there probably won't be one soon. Numerous scholarships including the Delhi University scholarship are there for those in need, Delhi University regularly mails students regarding scholarships. Job opportunities are scarce due to the high number of students but if you're good enough, you can surely benefit from them.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is one of the best in all of Delhi University without a doubt, a modern building with multiple lifts for students. A hostel with all the facilities anyone could ask for. Campus Life is fun and the crowd is just great. A tech fest is conducted every year by the computer science society called sanganika with a lot of fun games and completions. In 2021 the tech fest called 'Tech marathon' was conducted with over 15 events! The Libra is big spanning over 3 floors and all the books that anyone could ask for are available for students. Classroom are really bright and ventilated with huge windows and comfortable desks. We don't have a proper sports ground so outdoor sports are not possible on large scale but space is provided for indoor games. There are a lot of clubs for drama, robotics, economics, literature etc with Instagram pages that can be found easily.
