Remarks
Look, I'll start the review by saying that my course is B. COM (P) I'm in last year. Eligibility - You need to have the basic qualifications in cimmerce subjects in your class 12t-h to be eligible for opting this course. Application form - Generally the forms are available on the official webLHI UNIVERSITY (du.ac.in) in month of May. Reservation benefits - Though I belong to general category, hence I didn't avail the said benefits, usually students belonging to reserved seats require less cut off marks. Improvement - Only blot on the admission process in my experience was the time it took for me and my mother ( 6 hours standing in scorching sunlight), which should be avoided.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course due to my schooling background which was commerce stream. The faculty-student ratio is 1: 50 with respect to teacher per student. The majority of the teachers were well versed in English and more importantly great patrons of their respective subjects that matter the most. Due to the Covid pandemic in the 1st year, there was some uncertainty about the exams but the situation got better with time and exams were not that hard to pass if enough attention was paid to the lectures.
Internships Opportunities
Various internships are facilitated by the ENCODE club specially dedicated to the placement cells. Roles such as Humar Resource personnel, campus ambassadors, etc could be offered. Though internships are more or less voluntary therefore stipends are humble in amount.
Placement Experience
Placement provides to the student through the placement cell. Final year students of all courses are eligible to sit for a placement drive. Students who want to get placement then have to register with the placement cell. More than 60 companies came to the campus for recruitment. These companies include Delloite, Kpmg, Ey, PWC, Accenture etc with an average package of 5 lac and a maximum package of 21lac.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees i.e. 22150 for 3 years course are pretty reasonable. And there are a lot of companies who come every year to offer placements. Any candidate who has been sincere in their studies wouldn't find it difficult to get job placement on campus.
Campus Life
To be honest, due to the covid pandemic I wasn't able to attend many fests in the college, despite that in months of January, Feb, and March there are no. Of events organized. Our Library is the 2nd biggest in all the DU colleges. Amenities are upto the mark. Sports aren't much of an eye-catching feature of the college though, our Football team is the exception in that context, which is known to be one of the best in DU colleges.
