Remarks

There is a huge ground in the college which is fairly well maintained and interestingly most of the students can be seen in the ground rather than in the classes. Management should ensure that more and more students attend the classes. This will also ensure that benefits of good faculties are not wanted.

Entrance Preview

Direct admission in B.Com. after passing class XII from Barakar college. Got 78% in class XII. Wanted to pursue CA so chose B.Com as my course which is related to CA.

Placement Experience

After B.Com I completed my Chartered Accountancy. Not much employment opportunities after B.Com.

College Events

No major technical or cultural functions were held except smaller function like Saraswati Puja etc.

Campus Life

Not much extra curricular activities. Gender ratio around 70:30(Boys:Girls).

Hostel Facilities

Hostel condition is average fees and food rates are very cheap and quality is average.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Campus has good environment and faculties are supportive.

The college is at the middle of the town and location wise good thats why i chose it. It is one of the oldest college in my region also. There is no attendenc criteria. College opinion by my point of view.

I choose many collages but i takd admission is this collage. And i also say some collages reject me. I think the cause of my law marks in previous exam. First we have the fill the admission from on collage online portal. The they published and merit list and if you selected you have to go collage for physical verification with required documents. There was a cut off of 98% but the second merit list is low cut off 80% and third merit list is 73%. There was no entrance exam conducted and admission process is so easy. I find all the thing in college official website...Read More
