Remarks

Nothing is so amazing in the admission proces everything was easy. The eligibility of my course is 3 years. All the details regarding the application form, application fees and application dates are available on the official site of Delhi University. An entrance exam should be taken for the admission and not on the merit basis. This improvement i want to see in the admission process. Also it is announced that admissions of 2022 will be not be held on merit basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Students in DSC are flooded. The classrooms are very small, they have 70-80 students in each class and the classroom capacity is 30-40 students only. Some teachers are pretty cool and educated while some are under graduated and don't know how to teach. I'm sorry I'm saying this but the truth is they have allotted teachers to any course like where that particular teacher should be there they are not. Also no notes and all are provided by the teachers. Exams do held timely. We have appeared for obe so remembering them the exam was easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Every year over 250 students are placed during the recruitment process and the highest package offered in the history of the college stood at INR 18 LPA. More than 110 companies provide internship opportunities to 330+ students every year offering the stipend as high as 50K. Some of the regular recruiters include IIT Kanpur, IIM Lucknow, EY India, KPMG India, Genpact and many more. During the 2020 placement drive, over 150+ students are placed. In the placement drive of 2020, the highest CTC offered was INR 12 LPA but the highest CTC accepted stood at INR 10 LPA. Some of the major recruiters include KPMG Global, EY Global, Teach For India, Deloitte Consulting LLP and many more. In the 2020 placement drive, the maximum number of students are placed in the Sales sector followed by HR Executive Sector and Education Sector. During the 2020 placement drive, the maximum amount of average package is offered by Jaro followed by American Express and White Panda

The institute attracted over 94 industry giants who offered a variety of job roles to the students across sectors, such as Assurance, IT, Education, Operations, Sales and Marketing, etc. The top recruiters of Dyal Singh College in 2021 included KPMG Global, EY GDS, Grant Thornton, NIIT, Genpact, Wipro, Bajaj Capital, etc. In addition to offering placement opportunities to the students, the placements wing of the college looks after the training of students on a continuing basis. In 2021, over 375 students received internship offers from reputed companies like GlobalShala, Grant Thornton, The Financial Doctors, Hike, Urban Company, Decathlon, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is not so high in the college. It is easily affordable for the students. Scholarships:- 1. Concessional/ Waiver of fees in respect of Persons with Disabilities (PwD): The persons with Physical Disabilities shall be waived off all the fees payable including the Examination fee and other University fees, except Admission fee, subscription towards Delhi University Students’ Union and Identity Card fee for pursuing undergraduate or post-graduate courses. 2. Sh. Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship: A student securing highest marks in B.Com (H) Semester II (above 70%) can apply for this scholarship.

Campus Life

4

So far no fest has happened, so we don't know anything about it. Library is so good almost all kinda books are available and reading space is given which is so beautiful. Classrooms are so small to accomodate a class of 70 students. Fans are so old and some of them are not in working. Sports Club is very nice , different types of sports are available in the college like volleyball, basketball, cricket, etc. Dance and singing societies are available too. A proper space is given to students to dance well.

Other Applied Colleges

It was pretty far away from my home.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
