NSUT review

You have to give the jee main exam for all the BTech courses in this college You have to apply in jac Delhi counselling process, which starts after jee main. It has total of 9 rounds and 3 spot rounds. It has an 85% quota for Delhi based students. As I was outside Delhi, I didn't get any of the courses till the 6th round. So just wait for all rounds and participate in spot rounds also. The counselling process starts 1 month after josaa. That's the reason why you get confused either you should take college in josaa or wait for jac Delhi and take risk.

All the faculties are highly qualified but don't expect them to teach like your coaching teachers or favourite school teachers. They just try to complete the syllabus. Only some of them are interested and energetic while teaching. And this thing happens in every college. Term exams were not so hard to pass but the routine of college is very hectic. You can have class tests 4-5 days a week. A lot of classes to attend and maintain 75% attendance also. It becomes very hectic for students to try new things on their own and attend college together.

So there is a fees hike policy in every college. In NSIT, first year college fees are 214000. And every year it is increased by the college. It will cost around 9-9.5 lac as tuition fee and the hostel fee is 52000 per semester. So yes it is very costly to study here. I didn't get any of the scholarships as I am a general category student outside Delhi. But my classmates who were from OBC, SC, and ST categories got the scholarships based on their qualifications.

The annual fest of NSIT is Moksha. Moksha was conducted in March 2022 after 2 years of lockdown. And it was very good. Everybody enjoyed it for 3 days and made lifetime memories with friends. The library is very good at NSIT. It has availability of all the needed and famous books. You also get free wifi in the library and now form this year nsit is introducing an online library for their students. Classroom for 1st year students is world class. The first time I saw the classes, I was amazed by the infrastructure. But when I got to know about the other year's student classes that were normal. The Sports campus is a very good college. You will get every sport available except the swimming pool. As I was a volleyball player, the college has 3 courts available. There are around 20-25 clubs/societies in college. It is very fun having any society. You get friends with the same interests. You do the workday and night and then do party, food and everything.

Rooms are nothing special. Rooms are just normal hostel rooms. All types of rooms are available, like a single room, double room, ac rooms etc. Meal quality in mess is very good, unlike other pg that are around the college. You get a sweet every day for dinner. The registration process for a hostel is not very hard, all the documents are the same as the college registration process. It provides a hostel to only outside Delhi students and Delhi students whose home is 50km away from college.
