Remarks

I have taken admission through jee counselling as I was not well during. Wbjee exam. I did my counselling from jee and got a seat here. The application fee cost me 500 rupees which were to be paid online on the official site of wbjee.

Course Curriculum Overview

You see Computer Science and Engineering is a very good course many of us are using the devices made by software engineers. I have a huge interest and I am very expert in handling machines and computer language. My coding is very excellent so I chose this course.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 62000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The students are given. Scholarships. Programmes creating software or real-life problem-solving projects which will help students and middle-class families. Like last year Tcs took twenty companies as an intern at 40000 stipends every month for six months.

Placement Experience

The students become eligible for internships after. First-year and can get jobs from third year. TCS, Capgemini, infosys and many great companies come to take admission here to take students for employment in their company.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many courses where you can enrol for getting scholarships. Me being a child from a middle-class family it's very tough to study engineering with my parent's income. Thanks to the West Bengal Government for providing me with DRCC and state government taxes.

Campus Life

There are many tech fests organised by the seniors for us like sports international sports. They occur every year in the month of September, December and April everyone can participate in the events by paying a nominal fee.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
