Remarks
Admission process took place through JAC, Delhi which is a standardized method of getting seats in top colleges of Delhi. It demanded top 3000 rankers in jee mains from Delhi(state reservation) and nearly 1500 for outside Delhi. 85% is Delhi state reservation set by the government in Delhi colleges. The process of conducting Admission is good, but can be made better by reducing the time frame of releasing consecutive cutoff results.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because computer science with artificial intelligence is an uncoming branch and soon there will be boom of number of job opportunity in the given field. There is nearly class size of 70 for 1 professor. The professors are well qualified but some prefer to keep the knowledge they have to themselves only(not all). The exams are held regularly and with little to more hardwork, you can pass the exams with flying colours.
Internships Opportunities
There are number of companies that approach the college for internships and thus providing every opportunity to the students of the college to ensure that they get an experience of how's the actual job placement takes place. Again all the top tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, JP Morgan, Bain and company, Codenation, Cure.fit, Zomato, Swiggy, Uber, Samsung and many more visits the college.
Placement Experience
The college is known to produce great placements year on year and this was one of my reasons why I bent towards this college even though I was getting courses in top IITs. For CS students, average package is close to 21 lakh. Internship season starts at the end of 2nd year when officially college calls companies in the campus for providing internships. All the top tech companies and also non- tech companies had approached the college in the past. Highest package was close 1 crore I guess. High percentage of students get placed ( approx 90%in total) and (100% in CS courses).
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is definitely on a high side when you consider it. 8 lakh for 4 years is huge fees but in return you are getting benefits in placements as seen in past years. Your every penny is not wasted and is utilised in building your future ahead. I didn't took any financial assistance or scholarship of any kind.
Campus Life
College boasts of huge campus size of 150 acres. It still needs to work on the management of Area as large chunks of land are barren and require maintenance. Annual fest is called Moksha and is conducted in the month of March.Tech fests are also conducted in even semesters. Library is fully AC with internet connection (though unstable), but you can find a lot of books and can accompy your friends there to have a group study. Classrooms are also modern with all facilities. I have not joined any sports in particular but I know that there are many options to chose from when you consider sports .
