Remarks

I think no cutoff and no entrance exams are mandatory in this college. The application form the admission or online booking of seats can be done on their official website. The application fee as per 2021-22 was 1,000 rupees. For seat booking 10,000 should be given. And then 51,000 should be given for the first-semester fee. All the data are as per 2021-21.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen computer science and engineering as I was interested in computer science. The faculty-student ratio is 1:62. Some faculty members are highly qualified and some seem to be an intern. Overall the faculty members are knowledgeable. Semester exams are taken after every 6 months with average question papers.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 370000 per year

Placement Experience

When I am from 3rd-year student gets eligible for campus placements. Top Companies visited:- Paypal, Flipkart, HCL, Byjus, Amazon, HDFC Bank, Infosys, and other companies as per their college prospectus. Placement details :-2020 -> 395 students, 2019 -> 440 students, 2018 -> 512 students, 2017 -> 445 students, 2016-> 450 students. Highest salary till date:- 10 lakh/year. Lowest salary till date:- 1.2 lakh /year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is like 61,000 approx for the first semester, 52,000 for the second semester, and 45,000 for the third semester. The fee for the 4 years BTech course is 3 lakh 70 thousand without any hostel charges.

Campus Life

In this College, we have a Sports Club(Volleyball, Cricket, Basketball, Football, Badminton, Chess, Kabbadi, Athletics), Drama Club, NSS Club, NCC, Gym (Boys and Girls), Cultural Fest, etc. available in this college

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
