Pros and cons of nitte meenakshi institute of technology

I come to this college through comedk exam. The application forms are available on the internet every year between the months of September to January. Reservations are available only for the Karnataka students, not for other states. College is not good, not bad. If are spending that much amount of money then you should go to some other colleges which are better than this.

Honestly, I choose this college by mistake. If you are coming through comedk then you should wait for the last round for improving your chances to get a better college. The faculty and students ratio is not good. Few teachers are well qualified in terms of paper only. Exams were held regularly, like anyone who came to this college I suggest you should set your mindset for exams. Don't depend on teachers for your course study, you should study everything on your own.

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements. Very few good companies visit the campus while the rest are mass recruiters. If you want a good package on campus, it totally depend on luck. 80 % of students got placed in this college of which 60-70% goes in mass recruiters. My plan is if I will not good package of more than 6-7 lakhs. Then I will join only for one or two years for experience.

The fees of this college are high. It's totally not worth it. Because if you are spending 10-12 lakhs rupees then atleast you should get 6-7 lakhs package. But the average is much much lower than this. The scholarship is only for Karnataka students.

The annual fest's name is Anandyanta and it occurs in the month of May. Course books are easily available, but If you want books for your personal growth then they might be not available. sports activity seems like school level. Few groups are:- hackclub ,nmithacks, ecell nmit, Sankalp etc

Facilities in the rooms are like very normal, they give you one bed which looks like a hospital bed, one study table and chair, one almirah. Meals are not good at all. Many students shifts outside the campus because of the mess of food. If you are north Indian then you are not going to like anything in mess except chai.
