Remarks
Students who have studied Mathematics till class 12 are eligible for this course. The admissions till 2021 were merit-based and will be based on an entrance exam from 2022. The application form can be filled out on the Delhi University admission portal dates which are yet to reveal. The admission process generally begins 10-20 days after the declaration of the 12th results.
Course Curriculum Overview
Semester exams happen every 6 months as per the university protocol which is followed by all colleges in du. The difficulty was easy to moderate level and the exams can be cleared with regular self study.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers multiple internships in various domains taking care of the needs of students from all departments and years. The stipends vary from unpaid to 25000 Rs per month. The average stipend for internships is rupees 4000-7000. The opportunities are work from home or work from the office varying from company to company.
Placement Experience
Eligibility of campus placements for jobs is generally for final year students, but everyone can apply for internships unless specifically mentioned otherwise. Some of the prominent companies that visited the campus are Amazon, Barclays, Byju's, Unacademy, and Chegg. The highest package for this year was about 21 Lakhs per annum and the average package stood at 8 Lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the honours course is Rs 17100 per year. There are regular scholarships and financial assistance provided to the neediest students. The placement cell is very hardworking and provides regular internships and job opportunities.
Campus Life
The annual college fest is Tempest conducted around April. Apart from that, every society and department conducts their annual fests. The placement cell organizes Chrysalis, the annual job and internship fair and provides multiple job opportunities for the students. The library is vast and spacious, you can find books of all genres. The college provides a system to track the availability of the books in the library. The classrooms are big and spacious, various societies include English and Hindi debating, literary, drama societies, entrepreneurship cell, placement cell, enactus, suvakta, finance and investment club, adventure club, women development club, gender sensitizing committee, classical and western dance and music societies, NCC, NSS, NSO and much more.
