SRMAP college Review

The admission process is purely based on the entrance exam. There are two entrance exams currently which permit you to study in SRMAP. The first one is SRMJEE and the second one is SRMAPET. The application form would be available on the srmap official website. The application fee varies per year but the expected fee is less than 2000rs. The application dates vary and would be announced on the website 3 months prior to examination. As of now, the admission process is pretty good. So no improvements I would suggest from my side.

I chose computer science engineering as my course because I have a keen interest in technology and in coding. Computer science also is the most demanding field right now and will be in the future. There are various specializations also provided by the college so we can study deeply about the subjects. There are faculties who have completed their phd from IITS and many Ivy League universities abroad . They are very well versed and have a great knowledge about the subject . The faculty is more than enough and the ratio is 1:10. Term exams include mid sems and sem exam. It's between three month gap. Faculty conducts timely Cla's( continues learning assessment) and internal exams. Exams are of moderate difficulty. Proper materials and slides are provided by the faculty and e-study materials are also provided. If properly followed we can score a decent 8.5-9cgpa easily.

Various companies offer internships. Companies like ICF, coca-cola, Flextronics, Siemens Gamesa, Shakti technologies, Isuzu, ICF, Gspann and many companies provide internships. Summer internships are usually six to eight weeks long and can be part time or full time. These short term experiences provide a real insight into what it's actually like working in a particular job or career field.

Students are eligible for the campus placements from their sixth semester. There are various companies who will be coming for the placements which include Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Wipro, cognizant, Accenture, etc. The highest package as of now is 50lpa for a student who goes places in google Japan. The average package is 10-13lpa. The placement percentage differs every year. 90%of the students get placed . The other 10% may opt for higher studies. I'm currently aiming to complete by BTech and after the degree planning to pursue MS in Ivy League

The fee structure for all the students is 320000Rs for all the students. According to the rank in the qualifying entrance exam, there will be scholarships. It varies per year and the details will be posted on the college's official website. As I am in my first year right now, an internship is not a good option. You can start the internship after 2nd year.

College Annual fest is named ALOHA. It's conducted by mid-April or May. There are tech fests and hackathons conducted by the management. The library has a huge collection of books and covers all the topics for research-related and study materials. E access to the library is also available. There are various sports backed up by the college. There are basketball courts, table tennis and badminton courts. There is ground under construction for football and cricket. There will be various Sports-based competitions. Extracurricular activities include club activities. Various clubs are available in the college.Photography club, Dance club, Music club

A hostel facility is provided to the students. Various sharing options are available which include 2,3,4,5,8 sharing rooms both ac and non-ac. The food is pretty good and decent. There will be 5 days of veg and two days of non-veg. There are various cafeterias and night canteens available at various places inside the campus for the students to access. The hostel registration process and all the details will be intimidating to you once you take admission. The hostel fee is a bit high and there can be a decrease in the hostel fee. The college is actually located in Amaravati. The nearest town is Mangala Giri which is approximately 15km from the college. There are pretty decent apartments and villas where you can live or rent a room
