Remarks

The college of way too good. The fests there are delightful. Only the bad thing about Thadomal Shahani Engineering college is that there are only two lifts in all for the staff and students.

Entrance Preview

MH-CET. My interest to become a Computer Engineer made me choose this course. The admission process was to fill the form. Simple Enough.

Internships Opportunities

10 companies came for internship offers. All were start ups. No Renowned company. There was a company whatsextra. They selected 5 students after interviews. They gave a stipend of 5k and based on the performance of students they were placed in company permanently.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very expensive for a lower middle class. 1 Lac 20 thousand approx. Is the fees traveling cost, submissions, sheets, exam fees. It approx. Costs 6 lakhs for 4years.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship facility is there one of the scholarship facility is Ratan Tata scholarship: you get 70K back if you satisfy the scholarship criteria. Criteria is you should be the branch topper then only you are eligible for the scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is the glimpse of heaven. The extra curriculars are so many that one week get tired of doing all the extra curriculars but they won't end.Gender rain is maintained.

Hostel Facilities

3

No hostel. If you are not a mumbaikar then your life might be a bit more tough than mumbaikars because to afford a pg in bandra is like a dream. Sad part about TSEC Is it didn't provide hostel facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are so friendly. And you get a whole lot of seniors to clear your doubts. They guide you about the final year projects also they properly guide you for how to study for final exams, vivas etc

Exam Structure

Chilled out. Sufficient gaps are given between two exams (for practicals, vivas and theory). Sometimes for mid-terms there used to be no gaps in-between so those days used to be hectic.

Faculty

4

They are very good in clearing the doubts. Very helpful. Concepts get cleared. They clear concepts by giving real life examples and in a simple and easy way. Sometimes I feel even good is underrated. But some teachers are bad also in teaching.

During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
