I appeared for Comedk UG Entrance Exam for Private Colleges in Bangalore. A rank of 3500 can get you an Information Science branch seat in Dayananda Sagar College of engineering. Whereas the cut-off of Computer science branch went till 2800 rank. It is better to wait till the last round of counselling to get into the best college and branch as per your rank. The form is available on their website. Reservations are available only for Minorities in Karnataka. There is no reservation for other candidates. The Admission process was slower and took more time than expected. It has overall 3 Rounds. The cutoff ranks increase in every round and it's better to wait till the last round to secure a seat in the best possible college.
Course Curriculum Overview
As DSCE is an autonomous college the Exam Scene is relatively easier when compared to other VTU Affiliated colleges. There are 3 Internal and one-semester end every Semester. Exams are checked on the campus itself. In other non-autonomous colleges, the Semester-end exam is prepared by VTU and is checked externally which makes it difficult to score. It's better to be in an autonomous institution.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available from the 6th Semester. Some companies offer internships that may be extended to a full-time job offer seeing the performance of the employee. There are various Off-campus internships offered in Bangalore that one can grab with Skills.
Placement Experience
College placements are fine. The average is 6.6 LPA considering all branches of engineering (circuit and non-circuit). The average for IT-related Branches is around 8 LPA. The Highest package this year was 28 LPA. Dream companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon, and Oracle visit the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is only for Karnataka domicile students. If one gets a Seat through KCET, the state exam of Karnataka the Tuition fees to be paid are very less as compared to Comedk Applicants. As such, there is no Financial assistance offered by the institution.
Campus Life
There are few Technical, Entrepreneurship, and Cultural Clubs on the campus. The Technical clubs like Point Blank and GDSC provide a good environment for students interested in Coding and Development Skills. The IEDC Club is for Entrepreneurship regarding Finance, Management, and Social media advertisements.
