Remarks

The admission process was quite simple and easy. The course does not require any entrance exam like jee or anything. The application fee is 1000. And seat booking fee 10,000 and the first semister fee is 51,000.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty-student ratio is 1:63. Many teachers look young between the age of 24-28 & hod's are quite old. The ca exams are not that hard but the copies are checked very strictly. The semister exams are a little hard.

Highest package till now is 10 lakh per annum. From 3rd semester, students get eligible for the campus placements. Many popular companies took a drive to the college. Like Flipkart, Amazon, white hat jr., Paypal, panindia, HCl, Tech Mahindra and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of 4 years is 3,70,000 without a hostel. The hostel charge is about 26000 per semister. The average placement score is 80% per year with the highest package at 10 lakhs and the lowest at 1.3 lakh now.

Campus Life

After 7 years the fest is going to organize and 350 is collected from every student. The fest is going to be held in May. There are many clubs like boxing, karate, coding club, and many more. There are a total of 2 libraries one in the boys' hostel and one on the college campus.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
