Remarks

For this course students needs to be a student of science in class 11&12. No entrance exams are required for admission to this college. The admission process is very simple and straight. The application form can be found on their website.

Course Curriculum Overview

The student-teacher is about 62:1. The teachers are highly knowledgeable with good teaching experience. The exams are quite difficult. There are 4 exams before every semester exam. Like ca1, ca2, ca3, ca4 & and then finally semester exams.

Placement Experience

About 80% of students get placement. From the third year, companies took a drive to the college. Many companies like Flipkart, Amazon, white hat jr, tech Mahindra, pan India, PayPal, byjus and many more. Highest package is 10lakh and the lowest is 1.3 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee Structure for different streams is different for CSE it's 3.7 lakh for four years and the same for 2.8 lakh. College also provides campus placements in big companies like tech Mahindra and Flipkart etc.

Campus Life

The library is open all the time and there are two libraries. In this year 2022, the fest is going to be organised on 7th May. Many clubs are there in the college like the karate club, coding club. The college also has a gym but it is closed every time.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
