Remarks

Admission to this course for this college does not require any entrance exam. Students can take direct admission in the college in any stream like cse, it is, me, ee. The admission process is simple students can easily get the form in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The exams are difficult to pass & the copy checking is very strict. The student-teacher is 62:1. Teachers are well knowledgeable. The course requires the knowledge of physics and chemistry subject of classes 11 & 12.

Placement Experience

From 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Many top companies visited the college as per the prospectus. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Flipkart, Amazon, byjus, PayPal and many more. Highest package till now is 10 lakh and the lowest 1.3 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is described as 61,000 for the 1st semester, 55,000 for the 2nd semester 60,000 for the 3rd semester as so on. Total 3.7 lakh for 4 years and 28k for every semester if the student is opting for a hostel.

The college has separate library rooms for every year student. And have two libraries. The college has clubs like karate, coding club etc. After 7 years the fest is going to organise on 7th May. The library contains many types of books.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
