Remarks

The course does not require any entrance exam or anything else. Students can take direct admission to this college after completing their class 12 from a science background. For seat booking 10k can be given to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I was interested in computer science. The student-teacher ratio is 62:1. Exams are not that hard but the copy checkings are very strict. Faculty members are highly qualified.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies took campus drives in the college. The placement score is about 75-80% according to the college. Many companies like Byjus, Whitehat jr., Flipkart, Amazon, pan India, tech Mahindra, PayPal and many more. With PayPal offering 10 lakh per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to the year 2021, the fee structure for computer science & engineering is about 3.7 lakh for 4 years. And 28 k for hostel per semister. On placements, the highest stipend was 10 lakh per annum & lowest was 1.3 lakh per annum.

Campus Life

The college has many clubs like the karate club and coding club but all the clubs are for names. Till now the clubs are not going on. Fest is going to organise after 7 years on 7th May this year. The library contains a number of books.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
