Honest Review

To get into the course I am pursuing right now one needs to give jee Main and secure a decent all-India rank. This year's closing rank was around 3000 for the general boy category. After the results are declared one needs to fill out the registration form at JAC Delhi and sit in several rounds of counseling. One has to fill choices for colleges along with courses one want to pursue and afterward, will get the course among them acc to his/her All India Rank. I am a general boy so I have availed no reservation but it is available for SC/ST/OBC and EWS categories. The admission process is smooth and fine but can be a little bit shorter.

I have chosen this course because it includes knowledge of computer science along with artificial intelligence and the future is all about AI and this field excites me. We have around 5 main courses in a semester and separate faculty for each and on an average of 75 students in each class. All teachers are well qualified and some of them have done their Ph.D. from IITs. Teaching is done mostly through smart TV in form of ppt but some teachers also provide handwritten notes. Mainly two exams are taken that are mindset and endsem, besides class tests are also there for internal grading. One needs to have all of the basic concepts clear and good practice to score well in exams and pass with a good GPA.

Google, Amazon India, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Honda, Deloitte, IBM, Deshaw, Cisco, and Adobe are some of the top companies that come with internship opportunities in our college. Usually, students do an internship in their third year and software engineers, data analysts, web developers, and Android developers are the top roles offered in the internship. I am a first-year student so don't know much about it but tasks related to web and Android development, analysis of data, and core related knowledge are also used.

My course duration is 4 years so during the seventh-semester students start applying for companies and the placement season last till mid of the eighth semester. Google, Microsoft, Amazon India DeShaw, Deloitte, Wipro, Mckinsey, and Atlassian are some of the top recruiting companies more than 300 offers were made last year and a lot of preplacement offers were also made. Software engineer and web developer are the top roles offered. The highest package made was 1.25 crore and the lowest was 9 Lacs in our course with an average of about 18-20 LPA. Almost all the students are placed in our course with a decent package. As my course is a specialized one either I will continue it further and get an MS degree in it or do a job for 3-4 years in a tech company and then do MBA or I can do something else as well if I will develop an interest in doing that thing.

Our fees structure is such that every year there is a hike in fees. Our fees are 2.06 lacs for the first year, 2.12 lacs for a second, 2.20 lacs for the third, and 2.40 lacs for the fourth year giving a total of around 9 lacs ( hostel and mess fee is not included). Scholarships and financial assistance are there on a merit basis and the financial condition of the candidate is provided by the reliance scholarship foundation and govt of India. One can also earn through paid internships and can do part-time job as well.

Moksha is our annual cultural and technical fest and usually conducted in the month of march. Besides this events are conducted throughout the year by various societies. A lot of books with wide range of variety is there in our library along with availability of e-books. Classrooms are tidy, spacious, elevated and well maintained. AC and WiFi facility is there in the classroom. Basketball courts, TT courts, volleyball court, football ground and cricket ground is there in our college with active participation of students in sports activities. Ashwamedh (dramatic society), Capella and mirage(dancing society), Cresendo (music society) are some of the famous societies of our college.
