Remarks

The college is allotted through JEE Mains ranking. It's an IIIT, So only CSE, ECE and IT branches are available. You need to secure a rank of less than 70000 to avail for ECE and less than 40000 for CSE/IT if you don't belong to the reserved community. After you secure rank, you need to apply for JoSAA and they will alot you to the college. The admission process is very smooth. Once you are allotted the college, You just need to physically verify there with the required documents to freeze your seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are two Cycle Tests and one End sem exam per semester. You need to overall pass in the subject regardless of scores in CT. Scoring is easy in these exams, as the papers are checked by the teachers who teach you in class and not sent to university. The faculty is good, They try to make life easier in college and they have good knowledge of their respective subject.

Placements are good. We have 100% placements in our college, the average is around 834000 per annum. Students in their final year are eligible for seating in placements. Companies come for a variety of roles on campus, but most placements are from SDE roles.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is simple, it's 100500/semester. There are various scholarships programs of the Indian government that you can avail, you can talk to faculty about it and they will help you. There is a fee hike recently. There is nothing like campus jobs.

Campus Life

Campus Life is good. We got all kinds of clubs, from tech to sports. Additionally, you will be in Himachal Pradesh which gives four memorable years of tourism. We have a fest every once in a while. There are plenty of books and journals in the library. Every classroom is air-conditioned and has a projector. Labs contain all the required components for experiments.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. Every room has 3 to 4 members in it, who have their own attached washroom. Wifi is available in the hostel and with ethernet ports in most rooms and there is very less power cut. Mess serves good food. It serves 3 meals and 1 snack every day, and it's cost-efficient.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
