Remarks
The eligibility of the course is Physics, Chemistry and Biology Subjects in Class 12th. The admission in that year was on a merit basis. The percentage of 3 main subjects,i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology was counted and you can take the admissions if you meet the cut off. But rules have changed now and a common entrance exam (CET) has been introduced this year for the same and cut off will be on the basis of the score of the entrance exam. Applications have already started on April 6 and the last date for application is May 6. The exam is expected in the month of June. In order to apply, you can register on the site cuet.Samarth.ac.in and fill all the required details along with uploading the necessary documents. If you belong to any category, you can fill the form under that category and you can avail the benefit of a lower cutoff. In this way, you can take admitted to Delhi University.
Course Curriculum Overview
Zoology honours deal with the detailed study of animals. Since this subject always fascinates me, that's why took admitted to this course. The faculty of Kirori mal college is amazing. All of the teachers are quite experienced and are polite in nature. You can ask any doubt to the teachers at any time even on WhatsApp. On the very first day of college, an orientation program is conducted by teachers in which they give a brief about the syllabus of the course and also the curriculum of the college and opportunities which can benefit you in the college time. All the faculty members are PhD holders from renowned institutions. Term exams include more than half of the syllabus and the level is pretty good. But if you study well throughout the semester or even if you're regular in college, it's easy to score well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 11, 470 per year which is very cheap. You can avail of many government scholarships in the meanwhile. One of those is INSPIRE scholarship which is given by the government. Under this scholarship, you also get a chance to do an internship in your department which will help you in further studies (PhD).
Campus Life
Social life is very much fun in college. You always want to come to college. The college has many societies like Players(Film society), Art and craft society, Dance Society, Music Society, NSS, NCC, etc. You can join any society as per your interest and in this way, you can make more inter-department friends. There is an annual fest 'RENAISSANCE' which is so much fun.
