Entrance Preview

I took JEE entrance exam, 33075 BCREC is one of the most famous and renowned college in Durgapur with the maximum placement garentue.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure was up to the mark. Needed subjects were taught with required syllabus and as far as the major concern the course helps to crack any placement examination.

Internships Opportunities

I have never applied for any internship in my college as I got one directly from Tata Steal. But they help in getting internship in renowned mnc's as I have heard. For this students need to talk to the training department of the college.

Placement Experience

Not to be mentioned BCREC has the best placements amongst all the private colleges in Durgapur. Starting from the toppers to the mediocre almost 70 to 80% students gets placed from the college.

There were several events held but the number of events I participated and remember right now are FRESHERS, TECHNICAL FEST, cultural fest, Departmental meet.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The main reasons for choosing this college was- 1.I had heard a lot about this college in terms of teaching style and the other faculty members. 2. This college provides a good placement . 3.
