The admission process was quite simple. It's just to fill the application in the online which is on the college site and fill in all the details and submit it. Admission for UG sociology will be given by marks obtained in school board exams. There are 3 selection lists where the applicant can get selected. Sports students can also get admission through the sports quota. The application dates will be after the announcement of +2 marks and the students who wish to put application should need to have a regular check to the official college site.

The faculty members of the sociology department were kind and friendly to the students. The staffs were well guiding and they will hear the problem of students and tried to solve them. I have chosen this course because I was aspiring to become a civil servant. The course will be useful and it is to study human behavior in society and observe people. This course makes the students think unique after the program. A maximum number of faculties in the department will be Ph.D. scholars and their teaching styles will be different according to them but it will be easier for the students to understand. The odd semester will be from June/July to Nov and the even semester will be from Dec to May.

The internship was the golden period in my college life. We need to search for a company to do an internship for a month. I worked in OASYS Cybernetics, Egmore. I worked under an HR manager. Who gives us a wide range of ideas. It was a great exposure to work there and gain more knowledge and learned something for life. We were given some small project works.

The college provides the placement in the final year which is from the 5th semester. There are many companies which are visited D.E. Shaw, HDFC bank, SUTHERLAND GLOBAL, ICICI Bank, BYJUs, BNY Mellon, Avasoft, Aditya Birla Finance Ltd., Barclays India, Kotak Mahendra, Accenture India, Mckinsey and co, COGNIZANT, Citi bank, JLL, etc. The highest package is around 8L and the average package is around 3.5L. My plan after getting a degree is higher studies.

Scholarship details will be given in Loyola students support service(LSSS) office. And the college have given the option of paying fees that is dividing the sem fees by 2 in the covid period.This was more helpful to the students who are from weak background.

The life on the campus will be excellent. The college will be surrounded by greenery. The best place to feel the weather is a gallery in the evening. The main building of the college is a heritage building which is nearly around 100years. Every year the cultural will be taken place named ovations. The culture is all about competition between all the departments. And every year the sports day will be taken place. And there are around 15clubs in the college.

There is no group discission process and test process for the UG Courses especially for sociology. There is only (PI) which is personal interview round here the test is on yourself. In this round all the questions will be about you. The main question is why do you choose this course.
