Remarks

It was always my dream to do my MBA from one of the best colleges. I scored 98% in my CAT examination and decided to take admitted to this college as it has been ranked among the top 10 colleges for MBA by NIRF 2021. I was required to submit my application online by paying a fee of INR 1000. The application process was very smooth and I was required to submit all my personal details. Although it was difficult to get through the process of Group discussion and personal interview I cracked it with flying colours.

Course Curriculum Overview

My college has provided me with a lot of certification courses to give me a hands-on experience in the field of finance. They have provided me live projects to work on. My teachers are also one of the best teachers in the country who are very well qualified. They try to teach us practically and with the use of visualisation so we can understand things well. My class consist of 60 students but my teachers pay attention to everybody equally.

Internships Opportunities

As my college falls under the top ten college in the country, many good companies like Deloitte, PWC, mother dairy, Amul, ITC and KPMG visit our campus to hire students. The average package provides is around 12 lacs while the maximum goes upto 32 lacs. We are provided with aptitude test which is held weekly and personality development sessions to groom us.

Fees and Financial Aid

I found my college fee to be very affordable as it is around INR 50000 for a year while other colleges charges in lacs for my course. We were provided with a lot of scholarship facilities which were provided on a merit basis. Many students who cannot afford the fee were also provided with educational loans. My expenses for the year sum up to INR 20000 which includes my books and exam fees.

Campus Life

My college provides the best campus life as it has a huge campus and one of the best fests in the state is held at my college. It also provides for cricket and basketball competition which is very popular in the state. I have learned a lot at my college and it has helped me to develop my overall personality and made me interested to take part in various competitions.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More

Life at IIT Bombay : In and Out
