This is everything about my Jadavpur University.

I took admission to this course through WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) which is an entrance examination of the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. We had 2hrs paper of maths of 100 marks with 75 questions and 2hrs paper of combined Physics and Chemistry of 50+50, 100 marks with 80 questions. Jadavpur University is one of the top colleges to get admission through wbjee. You must have qualified wbjee exam and have atleast 75% at class 12th exam to get admission in the college. We can fine the application form and every other things in the WBJEE website. Yes, their is a reservation benefits as 90% domicile of West bengal are treated as satisfied for admission process , SC,ST,OBC and twf are also given benefits during the admission process.But I took admission through general category through west bengal domicile. I want to see changes in domicile reservation and the lower casts(SC,STOBC) reservation, they should not be given such vast reservation, all to be equal treated

I choose IT Course because I love coding and it have an higher average package salary. Faculty are good in numbers to teach students We have different Faculty for different subjects and also sometimes different for different parts of the subjects. Faculty of our university are well enough educated and qualified in their subjects. Some have completed pHD , some have studied abroad and they are just amazing Faculty. Their teaching methodology are also great , they teaches us very well. Only for the 1st years students due to COVID pandemic exams were not conducted on a timely basis but were conducted smoothly and in offline mode, the paper difficulty was not tough it was of moderate to easy level of paper.I you have Paid a good attention in the classes then it would be difficult for you to pass the exam. From 2nd years onward the timing for the exam gets good and corrects

Amazon, Google , flipkart, Disney and hotstar and many more companies gives internship opportunities to us. They gives a paid internship as stipend of around 50000 per months to 120000 per months for 2 to 4 months and sometimes 5months also. We during 3rd year needs to give the interview for internship which is held on campus . We need to give their tests and some projects to get the internship offer If we perform wells in internship then we also gets a PPO.

Students gets internship at the start of 3rd year This internship giving companies also offers PPO to students. Every 4th year students are eligible to get campus placement. Big companies visits our university every year for placement offers , some of them are Google, Microsoft, Amazon , Apple , Flipkart, LinkedIn, sometimes Facebook also. They gives a great offer of average from 28lpa to 66lpa. A good numbers of students gets placed in this companies and other gets placed in other companies which visits our campus with 100% placement rate and a great average of 18.6lpa. Highest on-campus placement is around 68lpa. I would prefer to do job in any of this big companies and would not like to prefer higher studies.

Fees of our university Is the minimum fees possible to do a btech in the world. It is very cheap for non IT depts it costs only rs10000 for the complete btech course . For IT depts only, it is 30050rs per year. As I am in 1st year so I have not received any scholarship but seniors have received scholarship for their studies . The job and internship opportunities is the most amazing thing I love about my university. It have a great job opportunity. Many Big companies like(Google, MS,Apple, Amazon,Flipkart, etc) visits our university for placement every year and also picks a good number of students with a good package which is also 1cr/yr sometimes. Our college students also gets a great of more than 1cr/yr off campus package and They also secures a good rank at GATE(like AIR 19).

The annual fest of our university is "Sanskriti" it is a great fest or event conducted during months of April/May every year. The tech fest of our university is "Srijan" which is a greatly sponsored fest and an interesting event with many events, it helds during the months of March/April. Our library is full of different kinds of books from the subject books to computer books, from journals to articles, from story books to national books. Our campus classrooms are well equipped with ACs and a good infrastructure and cleanliness. Their are many activities to prompt sports and extra curriculums, like our freshers program as CIIPPUS , Uturn, annual sports as Arena and Many more. JUSLCodeclub a tech website which is run by our students , JUScienceClub is also run by our students.
