Remarks
I applied for various colleges after my 12th exam and based on my CET score, I got various colleges. I wanted Computer Engineering as my graduation course, hence applied to this college. The admissions here are based on the CET score and JEE main score. A certain amount of seats are reserved for both.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to be in the software field hence choosing this course. The faculties here are all very highly qualified, most of them PhD holders. The faculty-student ratio is 1:7. The faculties here are very helpful and guide the students toward the right path. Our four-year curriculum was conducted in 8 semesters and in between those semesters, we had two sessional exams which would help us prepare for the final exam. If you attend all the lectures and prepare by the notes provided by the faculties, it is not at all difficult to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide various internship opportunities to students. The ones to be mentioned are IIIT Hyderabad, Airport Authority Nagpur and Tech Pallottine Development Center of our college. R Labs, GitHub and Google Developer Study Council also provide various opportunities to the students. There are various projects which are assigned to the students which help in overall development. Mini projects in the third year and major projects in the final year are part of the curriculum.
Placement Experience
After the completion of the sixth semester and when students enter the seventh semester without any backlogs, they are eligible for campus placement. The companies which visit the campus are TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Atos, Wipro, Hitachi, Zycus, Byjus, Xoriant, Nice, Kritikal, Persistent, Perficient, Infosys, Infocept, Tata Motors, etc and all other leading IT companies and other core companies. The highest package offered is 10LPA and the average package is around 4LPA. 95% of students eligible for campus placement got offers from various companies. I will be joining Capgemini.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for the general category are 1L per year, 50K for the OBC-NCL category and 25K for SC/ST. Various scholarships such as single girl scholarships, single parent scholarships, etc and all the other University and government-related scholarships are available in the college. I got placed in Capgemini with a package of 4LPA.
Campus Life
The campus life here is very interesting. The annual tech fest and cultural fest takes place in the month of December and January, the preparations for which begins way before. There are also various department fests in the month of August and September. There are various cultural clubs for music, dancing, arts, drama, etc in the college. There is also an inter-department sports competition of various sports in the month of December. There is a huge central library in the college and various books are available in it. Each department has a number of classrooms and laboratories for the students.
