BIT in a glance

Admissions to Birla Institute of Technology (BTech courses) is only through JEE Mains score. You'll need to apply through JoSSA counseling to get a seat here. The Admissions procedure is as per government norms as Birla Institute of Technology falls under the category of NIT+ Systems and is of same value of NITs. BIT being a GFTI, Government Funded Technical Institute, you'll get good facilities and strong alumni base.

I was passionate about Computer Science and hence chose CSE and got the seat under general category. Faculty student ratio is average, as 1 teacher would be tutoring 120 students of the class/subject. Teachers and professors here are highly qualified and the teaching methodology and standards are equivalent to any of the top 5 NITs

You can pick off campus internships right from your first year. The college internship projects are offered from 3rd year where companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldsman Sacs etc offered internships with PPO to CS IT students with monthly average being around 80000.

Students from PRE FINAL YEAR (3rd year) are eligible for internships and final year students are eligible for placements. BIT gets huge placements in branches like CSE,IT & ECE where highest placement packages cross 50LPA and average of CS IT branches are around 28LPA Other branches might see a bit lesser placement with median salary being 7LPA and Institute average (across all branches) being 11.5LPA which is good enough when compared to others

The overall fees for students in BTech course would be 15L including Hostel and Mess. Having said that its a GFTI, the fee hikes aren't common. You can avail the GP Birla Scholarship based on merit and means that will enable you to get fee rebates from 25 to 100% on tution fee, based on performance (CGPA) in the last semester.

The classrooms resembles the movie halls of PVR and you'll find all state of the art facilities in the classrooms and study buildings, including books and journals at library. College fests are popular as in every college and numerous clubs support a national level competitive environment. You'll find details of all the clubs on the university website. You'll find the sports complex to be ready enough to cater your needs. Hostels might dissappoint you at some point as you won't find them to be great but again, they aren't expensive so that nullifies the quality issues.

Hostels are moderate and you won't find them to be very comfortable at the first place. There are 13 hostels in the campus, each having 450 occupancy average. The hostel fees per semester is around 20000 and mess fees would be 20000 per semester. A high speed lan internet connection will be provided to you for your usage. The mess food is decent and you'll find good variety there. The overall hostel and mess experience is good and affordable too, when compared to other colleges
