Metallurgy at MNIT Jaipur

First of all, eligibility criteria for getting admission in BTech courses here in MNIT is JEE Main. You can find Jee main form from the official website www.jeemain.ac.in . It is conducted four times in a year. There is minimal application fees for the exam. I am from OBC NCL and i got some reservation in the exams. There is 27% reservation for obc candidates in the exam. I want an improvement. JEE main should happen only once a year. Conducting so many times in a year makes a hurry in students. JEE is an exam of focus and you can crack it only by consistency. So this is my suggestion that exam should be conducted only once a year.

I am from 2nd year and i am pursuing Btech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. i choose this field of engineering because i always want to get admission in IIT or NIT. According to my branch , i got this branch in MNIT Jaipur. Faculty to student ratio is very good. Also most of the faculties are very humble in nature, so you can ask questions anytime in their office. And PhD Scholar's and teaching assistants are always there for help. Most of the faculty members are PhD qualified. One of the teacher had GATE Air 1 in Metallurgy. There are two exams in a semester. Midterm and Endterm. In Metallurgy, there is only 5 subjects and in these subjects most are theoretical. So we don't need to practice numerical. And most of the students studying for Noncore placement. They are easily getting 7+ SGPA studying only 1 day before exams.

There are no Core and Non core companies for Internship for Metallurgy students in MNIT Jaipur. But many students get internships off campus. Also MNIT Incubative and Innovation Club provides internship in there shortlist companies. You can also do some projects under Professor and you can also work for the professors. So there are very less scopes of Internships for a Metallurgy student. But if you have some skills and you are a deserving candidate. You will surely get an internship.

Semester 7 and 8 students are eligible for campus placements. In Metallurgy Branch, out of 100 students , 76 got placed in various companies. Most of them placed in Tech companies. Like Decimal point, L&T, JP Morgan, etc. Also there is good placement of Core students also in metallurgy. My plan is to get Non core job in 4th year. As i am also learning coding.

Fees of MNIT is highest among all the NITs in India. One reason maybe that, it is situated in Main Jaipur City Near Airport and Railway station And it has very big campus of 300+ Acres. So cost of study is little bit higher than other NITs.

There is no fest in these two years because of rising Covid cases in Jaipur during fest seasons. For Campus facilities like Library , classroom, computer center, sports complex, etc. MNIT is the best. We have Asia's Biggest Lecture Theatre. VLTC . For clubs, there are so many clubs in MNIT. I like Centre of eLearning Club. Which focuses on providing best courses

As i told earlier, MNIT has best campus facilities. There are 10 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel and 1 Aacharya Bhawan for faculty. In my room , there are two almirahs, a lan port, two charging ports. Each room has a balcony also, and 2 doors for one room. So overall , i like my room. MESS is also very good. And very affordable.
