Remarks

There is two way to come this college, first is jee mains exams for Btech of 4 year and another is set exam for diploma course of 3 year and after the diploma student can proceed for Btech without any entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum of the college is well defined and well organized by academics. Course curriculum make students to solve industry related problems .Faculty of this college is highly educated from prestigious colleges and also very helpful .Teachers are dedicated to teaching and betterment of the student's future. Generally, teachers use white boards and chalk for theory but some teachers use projector for the theory and practical's. Semester exams and quiz are not difficult to pass. Teacher student ratio is 1:40.

Internships Opportunities

Not too much good companies come at the time of internships. For internships students finds companies for their self before the final year. In final year ctc Ludhiana offered 6 months internships with 100% guarantee of job.

Placement Experience

Placements of the college was not good in past but from recent 2-3 years Placements records are going well. Highest package of this college is 23 lpa which is grabbed by a girl in 2021 in Walmart company. Around 60-70% students placed from this college. I will go for gate exam after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college provides you good higher education with a nominal semester fee of 31000 and for stay in hostel 3500 is hostel fee per semester. For St, Sc category students there is scholarship as per government scheme. For securing good rank in jee main there is also provide a scholarship which is TFW.

Campus Life

Campus life is very crowded and hectic . Annual fest of this college is Madhuram which is conducted in the month of august. Technical fest of this college occurs in the month of march and the name of Techfest changes as by year .There are many social, technical, cultural, literature clubs and societies. Nss and Happy club are social clubs ,Mavericks ,endeavor, juggernauts ,green rangers are technical clubs.

Hostel Facilities

There are 14 hostels in which 11 are boys and 3 are girls hostel.Hostel provides all the basic facilities which is required for a normal student.Hostel have facilties like free wifi of 1 gb ,bathrooms ,purified and water cooled water.Rooms have only fans for air.Mess food is hygenic and acceptable.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
