SLIET provided degree course in Btech and MTech and also provide 3 diploma course for 10th pass out students who is selected in the exam of set which is conducted by own it. For Btech course you will go through jossa counseling which is conducted by NTA. For MTech gate score is required.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are conducted timely according the semester course planner. There is two type of semester exam first is minor exam and second is major exam. Minor exams of 30 number and conducted three times in a semester in which 2 best minor exams considered. Major exam is only 1 time conducted in per semester which is of 50 number. Semester exams are not difficult .Every student can pass it by a decent study of 2-3 days before the exam.

Placements of this college will go increase in coming years because the placements cell is working hard and actively. Around 65-70% students placed from this college but without desirable package. Highest package of this college is 23 lpa which is achieved recently in 2021.

This college provides best technical and theoretical degree with a affordable fees. Only 31000 rupees per semester fee is here. There is also many scholarships schemes for bright students and category wise reserved students. On the basics of jee main rank top 5 % students in every branch selected for TFW scholarship.

Campus Life

The annual fest of this college is Madhuram which is conducted in the month of august and it is conducted for two days. The technical fest of this college is conducted in the month of march and it's name changes as year by year and it is also of two days event. There is well established library with full facilities. There is separate sports ground for each sports. There is endeavor and mavericks are technical clubs.

Hostel Facilities

There is total 14 hostels in which 4 are of girls hostel and 11 are of boys hostel. Separate hostel are provided different-different year's students. Hostel stay fee is 3500 per semester and mess fees is 90 rupee per day. Mess food is acceptable and hygienic.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
