South Campus Life

The admission process was smooth compared to most DU colleges. Took only one day if you bring all the necessary documents. Processing time depends upon line of students waiting to do the same. Administration staff is very helpful thoughout admission and academic years. Application is via the DU portal and after cut-offs were released you apply on the portal and later just have to go to college and submit documentation. Further, after documentation is approved, you get login details through which you pay fees. The only improvement I would suggest is to allot appointment times to students so it does not get crowded and this also relieves the burden on the admin staff.

I chose this course because B. Com H is a wide course that covers multiple subjects such as accounting, finance, law, business activities and investing. I am not aware about the specifics of the faculty: the student ratio. My class size was of approximately 150 students divided into two sections. The faculty were very well qualified, most had done a Ph.D. and had multiple years of experience. Exams were very timely and they were more lengthy than difficult.

Zomato-not aware of the stipend, role was associate. Slice-Marketing intern, No stipend, Commission based. There were many opportunities but they usually had a short application period and placement cell was strict in terms of selecting amazing candidates.

From the 5th Semester, students are elilgible for campus placements. Some of the companies visited were-Deliotte, EY, PWC. Package range was 3-5 LPA. Average package-3.5 LPA Highest Package-12 LPA Percentage of students getting placements-40% Had no specific plan

The cost of the study was approximately Rs. 10000 per year. Various categories get benefits and scholarships. I did not get scholarship or financial assistance. Did multiple internships without stipend though.

The annual fest was average and was conducted around February-March. Books and journals are available for students in need. But the library is not up to date with newly published books. Amenities in classroom are lacking and only benches and boards are available and some have digital projectors available as well. There are good opportunities for sports and extra curricular but I didnt participate so not aware about the details. Various societies are there in college that are very well run by students and score national level in competitions.
