Remarks
I gave the examination of cat and score 85% on it I did not get a call from IIM, therefore, my father suggested I take admitted to NIT Rourkela for my Master of Business Administration. I was required to pay an application fee of 1500 and apply through the online portal of the college. I was required to go through the group discussion and personal round before qualifying for admission to this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose finance as my specialization and was provided with a lot of certification courses in it. I was also taught financial modeling, as well as SAPficoo which provided a boost to my CV. There is a maximum of 60 students in my class and my teachers, usually uses projector or smart classes to teach. Many professors from IIM Ahmedabad were invited to give us career advice.
Placement Experience
As my college is famous for its placement records a lot of companies have started coming in my first semester itself. some of my friends have been playing at a package of 8 lacs per annum in the core finance. The highest package offered in the last batch was around 30 lacs and many multinational companies like Amazon, Deloitte and IBM visited our campus to hire students. A lot of grooming sessions were also provided by my college to boost our confidence.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college fees were around 6,50,000 for two years and I was required to pay the fees semester-wise. The other expenses which include hostel, books and travel expenses sum up to 10000 per month. My college provides scholarships based on merit but unfortunately, I did not receive any scholarship at my college.
Campus Life
My college life is full of fun. I am a member of a cultural group. There is a fest known as Aradhana which is held every year at my college. Many Inter College competitions and tournaments are also held now and then. This college has helped me to develop my communication skill as well as my overall personality.
