Eligibility for the course is 50% in mathematics and an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. And Merit was determined on the basis of one language and mathematics and two best elective/academic subjects. You can get the application form on Delhi University's official website (www.du.ac.in) for undergraduates and the Application fee was Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PwD and Rs. 100 for UR/OBC and it was non-refundable. And Registration started in the first week of June. Earlier it was merit-based admission, and the cut-off for the admission was decided by the university for every college. Owing to the few seats, usually, the cut-off percentage remained higher than the eligibility criteria. Every course had different cut-off percentages. usually, Delhi University gives more than five lists for students. In case the student does not get a seat on the first list, he or she can wait for the other lists and will then be admitted based on the percentage of Class 12. Admission process is
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a Mathematics Honours course that matched my requirements. The mathematics (H) course was introduced in the same year when I got admission. So there was a good ratio of teachers and students. Most of the teachers are NET qualified and PhD holders. We have a semester-based examination and internal examination during the semester. If you are regular in class then you can easily pass these exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are usually not very high in DU. You have to pay a fee yearly basis and examination fees every semester which are usually not more than Rs. 700. Based on academics, You can avail of the scholarship and financial assistance. You can get the information on the college website for the same.
Campus Life
College Annual fest caravan is usually held in Feb months for 2 days and the tech fest of our department is TRAP held in October. You will find mostly course-related books and journals in the library and there are enough copies of them. Lecture Theatres are equipped with a large whiteboard and projector. There are large air-conditioned seminar rooms equipped with a whiteboard and projector. There is a sports department and various sports teams for volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi team, badminton team, yoga team etc. We also have sports fest SPARDHA held in January. And there are different societies for literature, dance, singing, arts, fashion, photography etc. Social groups are NSS, LFT etc.
