Remarks
The admission process is centralised. There is a merit-based system, students get admission based on their 12th marks. Students need to fill out a form that Punjab University provides, mentioning their 12th class board marks. Once you get selected to any college you have to report to the premises on the given time and date. The cut-off of the college usually stands between 80-85% for general candidates and 70-75 for any quota
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.com because of my fine interest in accounts and economics. The faculty here is quite friendly. Teachers are well qualified and have more than sufficient knowledge of their field. Almost every teacher holds a PhD or a master's degree in their respective fields. They help students with their queries and also provide additional help one needs whenever the exams approach. Term examination happens after every six months and they are manageable to pass with one or two months of Preparation prior to exams.
Placement Experience
The college provides good placement opportunities to each student across different courses. Companies like EY and Yes bank visit the campus every year to recruit suitable candidates. The average package ranges from 2 to 3 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are affordable. Being one of the top colleges, it charges reasonably. Although the fee structure for each course is different almost everyone can afford it. It is much less compared to other good colleges in the city. The scholarship is given to those who score well in exams and are financially not able to afford the fees.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is simply awesome. There are different types of clubs and committees one can enrol in. From NCC to Rotract the college provides a variety of opportunities to its students. MERAKI is the annual fest of college. And it usually happens in the month of February. Each year it has various stalls, exhibition counters and different types of competitions for the students. The liability offers the latest range of books for every field.
