Remarks

The college takes admission mainly from two sources, one is from WBJEE examinations and the other from its entrance exam. The cut cut-off WBJEE is very high but the level of the entrance exam is moderate (just 11 and 12 basics). You can get the application form from the official site of the college application fee is? 5 00 and the dates are tentative and usually take place in June.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen this course as engineering was my motive from the very start when I opted for science in class 11. Faculty members are good and student-friendly they don't pressurize the students and resolve their issues of the students (if any). Qualifications of the faculty are very high some of the teachers are ex initial and some have donePh.D.d in their respective fields. The exams are on exact time with 6 months of study time. The level of the paper is moderate and the only topics discussed during the classes.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college offers various types of internships I mean a lot. The training and placement officer himself mails us a bundle of internships every month with companies such as Internshala, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. With a stipend of 10-15000 per month including work from home.

Placement Experience

2

Regarding the present situation, the campus placements of government colleges are dry enough. Companies don't usually come for the campus placements and if they do so they don't offer a high package such as 14-15 lakhs per annum. But a minimum of 3-4 lakhs package can be assured for students. Students don't usually get placed in-campus from the college what they do is off-campus placements. The highest package last year offered was 9.5 lakhs per annum which is a good amount in Kolkata. My plan after the completion, of course, is to get placed off-campus in a good company of course that requires me to be especially skilled enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are comparatively very low to other Pitt institutions as it is a government college and all the funding is is done by the government. Scholarship schemes are available such as MCM and swami Vivekananda offering 15000 and 60000 respectively.

Campus Life

2.5

Inter-university tournaments are held as well as inter-department tournaments are held in cricket and football. Several clubs are present such as NDLI etc. Books are available in a huge amount you'll get each every book regarding your course. There is no lack of books in the library. Annual fests are not conducted as it is a Muslim university but there are few converts held inside the university such as freshers and farewells

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
