Remarks
We need to apply for the VITEEE exam. We can register via VIT's official website. Based on the performance in VITEEE we get a rank and based on that fee category and course can be selected. There are no reservation benefits and this is a fair admission process so I don't think of any changes in this.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in programming languages so I have chosen this course. There are many skilled facilities to teach and they are maintaining a decent faculty-student ratio. The faculties have higher degree qualifications and there are good at their teaching. There are two mid-term exams called CATS and one Final assessment test.
Internships Opportunities
They also provide internships for students. They also provide international internships to vit students. It greatly helps to our career and gains us work experience which helps in future. We don't need to worry about internships and placements in vit.
Placement Experience
From the end of the 6th semester, they allow participation in campus placements. There are many companies coming forward to hire. Wipro, TCS and Microsoft are familiar ones. The average package is around 7L per anum and the highest package is 45L. After this degree, I planned to do higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee won't be hiked once it was fixed during the admission process. The Indian bank and VIT tied up together and provided educational loans for the students of vit. The fee depends on the category you fall by your VITEEE rank I.e, entrance exam.
Campus Life
They conduct all the local cultural fests and also celebrate other functions but now under the pandemic situation, there are no such activities. They may plan for the future about them. The library is beautiful and the look is nice. Books and journals are available to read. Classrooms are good and spacious enough for strength. There are tennis courts and basketball courts and other grounds to play. There are lots of clubs and we are free to join any of them.
Hostel Facilities
It basically looks like a normal room with a bed, table and a cupboard to keep our belongings. The menu in the mess is good but it was great if they maintain them. Food quality is not up to the mark. It is only one disappointing point in the hostel. Everything is good other than that. We can apply for a hostel through the student portal. It's against to vit rules to stay outside the campus without parents.
