Remarks

The overall college is good and it is worth the money. The facilities provided in fields of sports are very good. The university needs to improve on the quality education.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE I got 140000 rank in jee mains and was fortunate to get admission though in the last physical counselling conducted by the university. About the course chemical engineering i had no other option except biotech and biomedical to chose from,so I chose chemical engineering by discussing with my parents, teachers and friends.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The designed course curriculum is very good with a lot of research and practical work. But being a government institute faculty here is less concerned about taking classes and completion of syllabus, students have to be self dependent for studying and do practical work.

Internships Opportunities

No the college does not provide any internships. However the students have to undergo summer industrial training twice in their btech course i.e. after 2nd and 3rd year.

Placement Experience

3

In campus placements are generally in the IT field. Mostly companies that come for campus placement are IT based. Core companies of chemical, mechanical does not come necessarily every year. However companies coming to college are Fidelity,TCS, Indian navy etc.

College Events

4.5

Many events are celebrated in college. These includes 1.Cultural fest Rhythm 2.Technova (technical fest) 3. DCRUST Quarter Marathon 4. Women's Day celebration 5. Inter year sports meet 6. Athletic meet 7. Republic day celebration 8. Independence Day celebration 9.Interuniversity basketball, badminton . 10. DCRUST premier league 11. Blood donation camps 12. NSS camps The events are organized at a good level involving participation of students from within our university and from outside universities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of college is very reasonable. The fee expenditure is only about 50000-55000 per annum. Hostel charges are 20000 per annum along with mess bill varying from 1400 to 1800 per month. According to the facilities provided here, the money spent is worth every penny.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university offers scholarships to the SC/ST candidates whose parental income is less than 2.5 lac. The top 10% of class strength is given tuition fee waiver if their family income is less than 2.5 lac 6 sem topers of every branch is given scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Girls to boys ratio is nearly 2:5. Every year parties are there though unofficial (fresher's and farewell parties). There is no discrimination on the basis of caste, religion or sex. Many Workshops and seminars held in college. Classes on robotics are also there. Students in the college are from all over Haryana and are well mannered and disciplined. Overall the university life is good. The students here are

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good. In boys hostel, boys are provided with single or double sharing rooms and in girls hostel girls are provided with 3 or 4 sharing rooms.Hostels have volleyball, badminton courts, table tennis room,a common room. The mess runs on cooperative basis with a council of students governing the mess menu and quality standards of the food

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meet is conducted every year in the university. Also the old pass out seniors frequently visits the university and interacts with students and share their experiences.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is fine. Breaks are provided between the exams.Generally one or two papers every semester are quite tough. Otherwise exams are not that typical. In case of labs it depends upon the students how much they want to learn, and how they show their interest in performing the experiments.

Admission

After the jee mains result,I filled HSTES form and attended the online counsellings for getting admission in best institutes in Haryana, DCRUST was one of my preference then. My rank being 140000, I was not offered admission in the online counsellings in DCRUST. I missed out the Ambala counselling conducted by HSTES and lastly attended the physical counselling for the left over seats conducted by the college itself and was lucky to get the admission in the last phase in chemical branch.

Faculty

3

The faculty of the college is highly educated having a huge knowledge. Mostly teachers have done PhD and at least all of them have masters degree. But they lack a bit in showing interest in teaching. They are not very much concerned about taking regular classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
