WBJEE is the best way to get to this college. your rank should be good to get a decent branch-like cse,ece or IT. The application is available on google you can find it there. if you are preparing for jee mains then wbjee is not difficult for you

I am a student in the electronics and communication department and I chose this specialization because of my future plans. The faculty here is really very helpful. they will help you will classes as well as if you want to get help with some research work.

campus basically starts from the starting of the 7th sem. but we are in the 6th sem and companies have started their visit. many companies come to our college like TCS, Infosys, cognizant, Capgemini, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

fees are not too high as in other parts of India. the college is quite affordable with a good education system. scholarships are also provided but those are mostly for the students who have the domicile.

Campus Life

there are many clubs for the students like art, coding, culture etc. social life is good. infrastructure is not very lavish but overall it's good. a library is a good place where you can sit and study yourself in your free time

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
