My college life was mix of sad and happy moments as i was from bihar i dont understand the bengali and in class teachers teach in bengali languagae.and because i did not get that i was not able to perform good in exams but with the help of some friends somehow college life completed.

I have taken wbjee entrance exam and my score was around 22000 .i have opted for this college as i want to pursue my b.tech in electrical engineering.i have choosen this course as it is a core course and after doing this course i can go to both fieds either it is government sector or private sector.

course structure were good .in first and second semester we go maths,chemistry,physics that we studied in 12th class.from second semester the course changes and it was going to be difficult as suddenly it became vast.in second and third year everything was vast.in elective paper we choose transaction motors which was quite good and the view about focusing on research was completely zero as machines were not available in laboratory .its not like that no machines were there but the quantity was very less in compared to number of students.

no we have not receive nay stipend from the college and nor anyone .yes those people who were local they have shown some income certificates and college authorities have given relief to only those people.talikng about company maximum bpo companies came and they oofer 12k -15k for b.tech students :-D .only few good companies visited our college.

placements word sound good when entering to college and they told that every year is 90-95% placement is there but after seeing the placement of seniors we came to know only 10-15 % are placed and rest are unemployed.job opportunities were very less.

when i entered in college fresher party was hosted after each year we have annual fest where we contribute some amount .one time only technical events were held and i don't remember.our college students go to efferent college for playing match.although it belongs to same university but then also some thing to be happened excitedly in our college.

fee structure were expensive as in each semester we have to pay 40000 as semester fees and 1000 rupees as examination fees.they took 5000 rupees for library but that was of no use.they give books which is of no use because our teacher recommends other book.so fee structure was expensive.

yes they offered fee waiver for those students who are of west bengal and whose parents income is below 1 lakh .and nothing was for the students who are from outside of west bengal.so i have not got any scholarship from college.

in my department we were 65 students out of which only 5 were girls.some students take part in cultural event that happened in college and yes politics was there in college.some pay some extra respect to teachers for good marks and those who don't pay get an average marks.once i got 10 out of 10 in physics lab and everyone was surprised that how i got that much of marks :-D

i have not lived in hostel as they rented he hostel and hostel room was very small.i stayed in pg where the room size was ok for 3 people. and mess food was the worst food anyone will ever eat in college.they charge 30 rupees for worst noodles and in 35 we got stomach full of noodles outside the college.even after complaining about food quality one or two days food was good and then again they continue the same old thing.

in electrical department we were the first batch of electrical department so no one was there.seniors were helpful if u ask him any thing.they were cooperative and alumini network was not good and thats why we lack getting job from college.

exam structure were fine.each question paper consist of 70 marks and 30 marks were for practical exams.first they took lab exams and it was very pressurized and exam routine were hectic,we got one day break after one exam.but it was fine and everyone knows for passing theoretical exam we need only one night which is sufficient for clearing the exams.

i got admission through wbjee counselling and on he basis of my rank several college were displayed but i choose as its location was dumdum and which is in city.at first when the lot of 22000 rank came several students were instructed to form a line like rank between 22000 to 22100 will form one line and 22101 to 2220 will form another line and like wise and after that when the students number comes they ask for college and branch and if seat is available in that branch we got a token and using that token we go to that college counter and submit 15000 draft and later they give prospectus and after that we got to college after few days and then again they took money and we got admission in that college.

In first year every teachers were fine and we also know things because we have learnt in 12th class.but when we entered in second year few teachers left college and few teachers were not good enough to teach means i can say in every semester we got only two good teachers out of six teachers and i must say these must be improved as they are not giving any relaxation on fees.
