Remarks
When my 12th result were announced I applied into different Universities and college. As my marks were decent my relatives told me to apply in Du so I applied here and luckily got into Du. It's was purely on merit basis. Cut offs were out and I got into DSC. Everything was online. I applied in DU's official website which cost me a minimal amount of 250 and I was waiting for the cut-offs. I got no reservation as I am in general category. Other categories like OBC, SC ST gets relaxation. For every course there is the same criteria of best four percentage. For my course maths was not required but for BCom hons one should have maths. Admission process was very smooth and officer bearers are always there to solve your confusion and problems. For reserved categories cutoffs are bit low so this could be one benefit for them to get into good colleges. I wanted that Cucet should be there to get admission and from this year onwards this is happening. One must clear Cucet to get into DU colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I want to opt a coperate career. Course curriculum is not that difficult one can pass the exam easily if he/she attends the classes regularly and be consistent in studies. 1:70 faculty: student ratio is there in my college which is quite good. Teachers are really friendly they help us in every possible way. Faculty is well qualified and experienced. Semester exam are held timely and paper is easy to moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
Most of the Du colleges charges very minimal amount of money. As Du is a government University it is really affordable for every class of people. I don't know much about scholarship program but I think there are plenty of financial assistance program for economically backward students. Campus placement is there students can go for jobs by sitting in the placement process.
Campus Life
Dyal Singh College conducts fest named priydarshini every year. But due to covid it was not conducted in last two year probably this year there will be fest. And apart from that college societies conduct their own fest and culture activities. Which are really fun. DSC library has lots and lots of books almost every genre books are available here. Classroom are average because our building is really old but the evening block is really nice. Apart from studies DSC is active in extra curricular activities and we have basket ball court in the campus. There are so many societies in our college like Rotaract, Enso, Enactus etc. They conduct their own recruitment process to recruit new members .
